The Foreign Language Achievement Testing Service provides students the opportunity to receive up to 12 semester hours of university credit by examination (some restrictions may apply). Tests are available to both BYU and non-BYU students. In order to take a FLATS test, students must register with The Foreign Language Testing Service of the Humanities Technology and Research Support Center (HTRSC). Registration is available online at this site, or you may contact the HTRSC at 1163 JFSB, Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah 84602-6098, (801) 422-3512.

FLATS test registrations are done only through this website, and must be completed no later than ten days prior to the date you wish to take a test. Please see the links below for test dates and more information about deadlines and registration procedures.
