Important Information Regarding Tests at BYU-Provo

BYU students may take tests for languages that are not normally taught at BYU. (To receive credit-by-examination for languages that are taught, students should contact that language department directly. The HTRSC is not authorized to give those language tests.) FLATS tests are offered once during fall, winter and summer through the Humanities Technology and Research Support Center. BYU and non-BYU students wishing to take a FLATS test may register through this website up until ten days prior to the testing date. If you need more information, please leave a message on the FLATS automated hotline at 801-422-3512. The FLATS testing fee for BYU students is $20.00, while the fee for Non-BYU students is $40.00.

All BYU-Provo tests are held on a Saturday at 9:00am. Please arrive 15-20 minutes early if you are taking a test, to allow for proper identification and check-in. You must bring a Photo ID with you. Please note: the pass/fail credit on this exam cannot be converted to graded credit at a later date.
