Important Information Regarding Tests at BYU-Idaho

Testing arrangements have been made to test BYU-Idaho and Non-BYU-Idaho students at BYU-Idaho. Testing dates are scheduled once in fall and winter, typically October and February. Another session, to be held at BYU-Provo only, is scheduled during June. Check the "test dates" link on the home page to get exact dates. The preferred method for registration is through this website. Follow the appropriate links to sign up. It is only possible to register and take one test during each testing session.

Website registration and payment submission must be completed ten days prior to the test date. If you have further questions about registering, you may leave a message with the FLATS office in Provo at 801-422-3512. The cost for all tests is $40.00.

All BYU-Idaho tests are held on a Saturday at 9:00am. Please arrive 15-20 minutes early if you are taking a test, to allow for proper identification and check-in. You must bring a Photo ID with you. Upon test completion, if you filled out the yellow application for credit at BYU-Idaho, then the credits will be automatically placed on your records. If you have not filled out that form, please contact Dr. Scott Galer to have the credits added to your transcript.

Please note: if you take the FLATS test as a non-BYU student and later become a BYU student the pass/fail credit on this exam cannot be converted to graded credit at a later date.
