After you register and pay, you'll receive an instruction email with your proctor's contact information. It's your responsibility to reach out to your proctor and arrange the test directly with them.

The exam covers what would be taught in the first three semesters of college-level instruction, and assesses listening, reading, and grammar through 150 multiple-choice, computer-based questions. There is no writing or speaking component.

We don't provide FLATS-specific practice materials. We recommend consuming media in your target language and reviewing grammar from introductory college courses.

Processing typically takes 1–3 business days, though busier periods may extend that timeline. You'll receive both an email and a mailed physical copy once results are processed.
