Proctoring Your FLATS Test
Every FLATS exam is proctored: in person or online. Here's how it works.

You'll choose your proctor when you register. Some institutions restrict which option is available to their students, so check with your school's language department if you're not sure which applies to you.
Online: Proctor360
You may use Proctor360 to proctor your test from home. They charge an additional fee, typically around $20. After you register for FLATS, you'll receive instructions to register with Proctor360. You'll need a working camera and microphone; a laptop works, but Chromebooks are not supported.
In-person
You may request an approved FLATS proctor to administer your test in person, usually at a testing center or with a language department staff member. Some proctors charge a small additional fee, typically $5–25. You'll pick a proctor during registration and contact them directly to schedule your test.
How are proctors chosen?
